Only a few months after the company’s investment in local company Smart Things, Samsung has made another investment in the area of the Internet of Things. While details are scare, the investment was in the IoT managment platform Evrything.
The UK based company, which had received an investment from Cisco earlier this year, announced the news on their CEO’s blog. Their aim is to create a common platform, akin to Facebook, in which all IoT devices will operate and interact with each other on.
Many believe this acquisition pays into the development of Samsung’s rival to Apple Homekit, the “Smart Home” system.
